NSBE Region 4 Conference:

The Region 4 Conference is for chapters and members that are in Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Central Canada, Central Africa, East Africa. It will feature high-profile speakers, panel discussions, dynamic workshops, networking sessions, community engagement events, technical and scientific competitions, hands-on engineering and science activities, and the premier career fair geared toward minorities in STEM.

Mentorship Program:

The mentorship program helps retain minority students within STEM fields by allowing students to develop relationships within their major. Mentors act as advisors academically, professionally, and socially. The mentors and mentees of our program keep in close contact with each other and help each other with any questions or issues they might have in either their academic, professional, or social lives.

Industry Program:

This industry program aims at providing the opportunity for students to connect with companies and those working within STEM fields who share similar career interests and aspirations. Students will be able to learn about the company, how to get involved, and the day-to-day work life of an engineer. They will also learn about a variety of skills needed for a successful career such as networking, leadership, stress-management, and work-life.

Community Service Program:

As part of our mission to positively impact the community, we strive to help people and organizations around Bloomington, Indiana. This program serves to help and assist those who are in need. The type of community service work that we do can include food and clothing banks, assisting at events, and more.

Club and Involvement Fairs:

Club and involvement fairs will be for students at Indiana University to get familiar with the Indiana University NSBE chapter and see what we provide.

Social and Wellness Events:

Social and wellness events are focused on creating a fun and stress-free environment for students. These events could include study halls, sport related events, watching movies, and so on.

Workshop Events:

Workshop events are events focused on getting students prepared for career and academic events. These workshops could cover resumes, how to network, how to interview and more.
